All I want to do this help.

I want to better the wheel accessibility in my home community once that is accomplished, my friends I’ve meet at West Edmonton Mall would like to evaluate the accessibility there.

Meeting #2

The MLA of Callingwood and I had a meeting, we want to start doing something new, we're going to start awarding local businesses on their accessibility with a Plaque or certificate and by having media coverage will bring more business to the business that receives the award.

Brian cam.

By the way ,the two city sidewalk ramps at the parking lot entrance near Dairy Queen will soon be upgraded and I was the one a few months ago that complained to the city about the present obsolete ramps. Hopefully the upgrade will happen very soon.

Independence.

I really think, If there's something wrong in our government, those who have the ability to take action have the responsibility to take action and get the problem fixed.

bad surfaces

The sidewalks along the west side of 178 street from 76 Avenue to 69 Avenue are in very bad condition.with huge cracks all along the sidewalk.  This particular stretch of sidewalk needs to be repaired now ,during the summer before the weather gets bad. I think that a smooth asphalt surface should be applied like that which already exists on the stretch of sidewalk where ETS bus stop #5963 is located. An asphalt surface would be smooth and comfortable for wheelchair transporation. Also, in the winter the sidewalk along the west side of 178 street from 76 Avenue to 69 Avenue is not properly cleared of snow for the entire winter even when I make phone calls to the city to correct it. The city does not clear the snow nor enforce the bylaw to clear that section of sidewalk for the entire winter, as a result the sidewalk is impossible to use for wheelchair transportation. The sidewalk on the east side of 178 street from 76 avenue to 69 avenue is in much better shape but during the winter most of the time it is not cleared adequately of snow and ice for use as wheelchair transportation. No one seems to care about my wife's needs to get out to Callingwood Mall by manual wheelchair which I must push for her almost everyday in the winter months. As a result in the winter we get isolated in our home at 7525-180 street or we have the added expense of having to take an ETS bus the few blocks distance there and back. Not all buses go to the same bus stop and I still have push the wheelchair along uncleared sidewalks to get into Callingwood Mall. I wish it could be summer all year long.

A bonus.

Today well I was at West Edmonton Mall, visiting Sol Sunglasses Canada's premier eye wear boutique. I was told any of my friends with vision problems would get a discount by mentioning my name.

What I'm trying to do for people.

The inevitable is that we all will age.. Hello, my name's Tim, and I have a dream, my dream is to make Edmonton and area more wheel accessible for all, everyone from parents pushing baby strollers, to people using walking devices or people like me in wheelchairs. I have created a wheel accessibility team call Mightywheels.ca to work with are beautiful city to build or upgrade more accessible areas, I have filmed many public washrooms and posted them on my blog, hoping the right person will see them. Because I read that Canada Health Says by the time a typical Canadian reaches 85 years old, 6-10 of us will have mobility issues or have to use a wheelchair. And Edmonton’s City intersections, sidewalks, and sidewalk ramps are not in the best of conditions. I do not want to be confined indoor so lets, think in every ones interests and check out my blog for ideas to work with the inevitable.

project number 1
I would really like the city to umberlla Mightywheels.ca so Mightywheels can do the magical things it does legally.

project number 2
After numerus calls to 311 of calling/complaning about not being able to wheel to the public libary the city finally built a crosswalk with lights at the 69th ave. boardwalk enterance, Boardwalk sated if I was to get that built, then they would fix their sidewalk to link up with the cities sidewalk.

project number3
I have a number of physically challanged friend who come to my blog to complain that the secondcup washrooms are too  dark to be labled as public handicapped washrooms.

project number 4
I would like a volunteer to help me with filming and posting places bussiness I evaluate. I use the public Ets to get to the place of business, I evaluate.
