MW.

Hi, my names Tim I'm a wheel user to. I  have the greatest RESPECT for all my wheeled friends out there, I know a good/safe/accessible wheeling area is very important. I do understand that. When I looked into this more and saw there's a real big need for more wheel awareness, to get our city intersections, sidewalks and sidewalk ramps fixed and kept up. So that's why I created a internet blog called Mightywheels dot ca it's a wheel accessibility team to help all people who use wheel's parents pushing baby strollers, people using walking aids, or people like me who use a wheelchair to do just that.

The city is not the enemy.. Seasonal erosion is..  My team of helpers are always changing and they mean everything to him, with out them I couldn't accomplish all the great things I do.

The Mayor's Awards

I'd love to win this award, then I can move out of the place I live in now..
The Mayor's Awards recognizes those who make significant contributions to Edmonton's livability for all, and shines a spot light on innovations in accessibility.
Four award categories - Employers, Ewen Nelson Award for Self-Advocacy, Outstanding Service, and Accessible Homes and Buildings - recognize individuals, organizations and businesses in Edmonton who use creative methods to ensure the dignity and inclusion of persons with disabilities.

Get it fixed.

Here is a link to notify the City of Edmonton of sidewalk repairs that need to be made. If you need any help with it. Please don't hesitate to ask.

Meeting.

Friday 3:00pm at Callingwood's Secondcup I'll be meeting with Miranda a fellow wheel accessibility advicite that my Callingwood Mla setup for me. I really we can start to roll out the many ideas Mightywheels.ca has.

Had a great meeting with Miranda. Things are rolling forward (never as fast as I want, but they are moving.)

Other day.

The other day,  I wheeled across the street at the 177 Street and 69th ave crosswalk, did about 3 rolls and a guy with a dog helped me back into my chair. I complain to the city about it before but I'm sure it fell on deaf ears. Let's do something to correct this problem because I'm not the only one who has trouble crossing there.

Let's shine together.

Baby Stroller Show n' Shine.
No date has been set for this event yet..
All Edmontonian's know that Edmonton has an accessibility problem. (just look at our city streets) The future events will talk more about these things.
Right now, I'm just asking to hear your experiences with the wonderful city's intersections, sidewalks and sidewalk ramps. I'm hoping that this event will show the city that there are more people out there who use wheels then just those in wheelchairs and we all matter.
All Mightywheels.ca would like to ask for is only support of the community. We need to help our selves before we can move on and help other parts of the city, that way myself and all my helpers can continue to make are wheeling journeys better for us all, to encourage you to come to this event even more we will have door prizes.
