Timming.

This an old problem, coming to the surface again. I'd like to have City of Edmonton re-evaluate the timming on their Intersection crossing lights.
and you bet, I'll be bringing that up with the Legislature.

Sad but true.

In a normal apartment why is the handicapped elevator the elevator that able bodied people use to move their belongings. Now I said it and put it in writing doesn't it sound like able bodied people treat people who use wheels like a second classed person?

We'll stand up for you.

I understand that the world may not be quit ready for what Mightywheels.ca is doing.
Today I physical went over to Callingwood Market Pace Mall because I heard that the center corp workers were there to repair the mall and I wanted to personally thank them for the second repairing and repainting of an entry ramp for people who use wheels.
When I returned home, 2 u-haul moving trucks were in the front of the building. One blocking the officially marked handy capped ramp and the other truck blocking from unloading, now there is a unloading zone at the back of the building able to accompany 2 vehicles but, it was empty.
I went into the Boardwalk Office to complain about the trucks, I was first told "Oh its alright they'll move soon" the trucks didn't move. I complained again. this time the lady from the front desk said get someone to assist me. I called 311 the man I was talking to knew who I was, we talked before when Mightywheels.ca got the city to build the crosswalk with lights on 69th ave. He said put your on speaker, because he wanted to hear if they were treating me right with this complaint.

Justin.

what do you guys think of my letter..

To Justin Trudeau,

Hi, my names Tim Parnett, I run an internet blog called Mightywheels.ca  A wheel accessibility team. We stand up for everyone who uses wheels, parents pushing baby strollers, people using walking aids or people in wheelchairs like myself, we know Edmonton is 4-5 years behind in our accessibility problems So, with the power of myself and my various helpers, we bring attention to problem area's in your community, so everyone can access this beautiful city. This free service can be used by anyone. Our mission is to help bring much needed attention to difficulties people face every day. We want equal accessibility, so we can all access our beautiful city. I am hoping to raise awareness for the struggles that people with wheels face every day. I to use wheels to get around in Edmonton, and I understand that our city is not the enemy to the people who use wheels, but age of the land and seasonal erosion is… Why won’t other people understand that, because I feel if we the people worked with our city better more would get done to better comfort the cities people.
What I’m ever so nicely asking for is to allow my MLA Lorne Dach to take the 2min. needed to explain to the legislature on May the 16th at 1:00 all about Mightywheels the accessibility team.

Thank you very much, I really hope writing this letter helps, because this accessibility problem could turn into a problem you and people must face. (Personally)
