Problem

When I moved into b*********k, they said they were just waiting for the ground to dry up, cause of the winter freezing, before they would started fixing the sidewalks. Ok' I went along with that, even know I could of bought 5 pre-made sidewalk tiles and fixed it myself. Two months later, I went to the office and now they say there will be no sidewalk repairs this year, but having good accessibility was the whole reason I moved there.

Hi my name is Tim and I am currently in a wheel chair. I am emailing you because I have came across many poor surface areas in Edmonton and I find it very difficult to even go to the corner store. I have a created a web site called Mightywheels. What I'm hoping to do is help people with wheels whether it be a person pushing stroller, the elderly who use walkers or people like me who use a wheel chair. I'm hoping that I can get scouts Canada on board with helping me so I can get my web page noticed by the wonderful people within the community of Edmonton. I am hoping that when the scouts come across poor surface areas in Edmonton to either post on my website or email me the location. Pictures would also be greatly appreciated.

At the moment "The Mightywheels Group" is a un-licensed community blog, we are trying to change that.

I double dare you..

I stopped in at my B*********k office to post a challenge to all the B********k staff, to management, to spend an hour in  a every day wheel chair on their property, doing basic every day tasks.  like wheeling to the store, or getting the mail, or going for a coffee.

If you accept this challenge, you'll see how URGENT it is to have B*********k keep up on their side walks and side walk ramp repairs.

B**********K will not set a date for this event..

I myself, am in a wheel chair. I wish ETs would look into some of The Mightywheels Group's ideas to gain their own ideas to help people who use wheels.

Idea for a service, is to have all handy capped people to purchase or give the monthly bus pass to an ETs staff, that way the handy capped person would not be carrying it and no one would try to steal it, because the passes are getting very pricey and without this new idea ETs may as well just hand out t-shirts with bulls eyes painted on them, for each handy capped person who purchase a bus pass.

The Mightywheels Group is planning to have a coffee day, one day soon at the West Edmonton Mall Ets bus station. We need lots of help to pull this off, volunteer with us.

I've held "coin cleanings" before in Spruce Grove and in Kamloops B.c. they turned out great, washing coin money is a good way too lessen the amount of transmittable gearms on our hands and or pockets.
